My favorite experience in fourth grade was when my class made terrariums and aquariums. It was so fun! First the class made terrariums we put plants and leaves in it. After we put in crickets and pill bugs! Two of each animal. It was so cool! The next day we made aquariums. We put rocks, water, duck weed, and algae. Then we put mini fish and snails. Two of each animal. I thought it was so fun making terrariums and aquariums!
One thing I learned....
One thing I learned in fourth grade is how to do long division. At first I had no clue how to do it but then I got the hang of it. That took a couple of days to learn it because it's hard. When I knew how to do long division I felt GREAT when I did this strategy the right way!
My favorite unit of study...
My favorite unit of study is math. I like math because it always gives you a challenge. Also most of the things I learned I am very happy for learning it!
One area in which I am most improved...
One area in which I am most improved is reading. Last year I read very slow and I didn't know how to read most of the words. But, now I can read faster and I get more words right than I used to! I am proud I am so happy my reading better than last year!
One thing of which I am most proud...
One thing I am most proud of is my handwriting. Last year I could not read my handwriting at all. But now it is way way way better. So I am so happy! Also since I have been talking about my handwriting I am so proud I finally got my cursive letters right! I have always tried to learn my letters and memorize them. But now I don't have to because I know them all in my head!
My favorite book I read is Charlie and the Chocolate factory by: Roald Dahl. I like this book because it is about a little poor boy that gets a golden ticket. Also I like this book because the main person, Charlie wins and he gets very very very lucky! And Charlie is the only child there that is good behaving. I feel good for Charlie at the end because he wins the WHOLE factory. Charlie and his grandpa Joe have a lot of great adventures in the book. They get to go to all these different rooms in the factory. One room there is this chocolate river and Augustus Gloop falls in the river. {not trying to give away to much of the book.}
One thing I plan to do this summer...
One thing I plan to do this summer is to go to overnight camp with my friend Hannah! I like going to overnight camp. It is really fun excpecialy because there is so much to do at my camp! And I have a lot of cousins there to take care of me! Here are some activities I do at camp swim, tramp ball, snorkle, sail, fish, tube, water ski, candle making, soccer, tennis, volleyball, nukume, baseball, color games, and Lots Lots more! I love my camp because it feels like I am at a camp home. I feel that way because I have a lot of friends and cousins there which is always fun. Camp is awesome!
June makes me think of...
June makes me think of summer and warm. This month makes me think of summer because that is when all of the camps begin and school ends. And you don't have school every day { except weekends.} You have a break for about 2 months! I like summer a lot because you get to go swimming and you can have camp!!! Which is great!
New grade feelings...
My feelings for when I walked into Mr. Lucci's 4th grade class room I felt nervous. I was happy I got a nice 4th grade teacher! It was cool because I was in the same classroom twice with Nikki, Max, Leslie, and Jorge. I was happy I knew a lot of people in my class! In the begining of the school year I was very shy. But now since I know people more well I am not as shy! I am ancious for step up day because I want to know so badly who I'm getting for 5th grade! I think 5th grade will be diffrent with more challlenges which is good. Also it will harder with diffrent teachers. I am so excited for that day!!!
How to improve our school...
Students can improve the school by respecting the school. This is how you can respect the school. You can use the supplies gently like placing them down instead of smacking the supplies to the ground. which you're NOT suppose to do. Another reason to improve our school on is recycling more. I know that there is a lot of recycle but for lunch there is a lot of garbage. To help not having as much garbage you can bring lunch boxes which you can reuse. Also you can bring containers instead of plastic bags. You can reuse the containers. These are some things that can improve on in my school!
